WESTERN RED CEDAR -Renowned for it's insect and decay resistance. It's color varies from a dark brown to a light pink. It is very soft and can be prone to damage, but has an unmistakeably warm appearance.
AFRICAN MAHOGANY -A very luxurious wood. Color ranges from dark pink to reddish brown and is rather consistent. African Mahogany is very decay and insect resistant it is also somewhat hard and fairly resistant to denting.
DOUGLAS FIR - Although considered a softwood, it is harder than cedar. The color is pinkish or yellow with pink streaks. It is rot resistant, but can be prone to cracking.
SPANISH CEDAR - Generally is pinkish brown in color and even more consistent than African Mohagany . Very good decay and insect resistance.
